“I’m at Work” — geolocation check-ins

The second app of our own that we are working on is “I’m at Work”. It tracks employees’ arrival and departure with a location check, for Bitrix24. The app is in development now. Here is who it is for and how it will work.

The problem: who arrived on site, and when

For companies with several offices, warehouses or production sites it matters to know which employees are on site. Paper logs and check-ins on trust do not give a reliable picture, and standard working time tracking in Bitrix24 does not check where the employee is at the moment of checking in.

There is a second difficulty. Part of the staff — production workers, storekeepers, field crews — often has no portal account at all. Creating a Bitrix24 user for each of them just to check in is inconvenient and not always justified.

How “I’m at Work” works

An employee checks in and out, and the app compares the device’s actual coordinates with the addresses of the company’s offices. The check-ins add up to an attendance timeline: who was on which site, and when.

There are two ways to check in, and both end up in one shared timeline:

• Employees with a Bitrix24 account check in from the Bitrix24 mobile app.
• Employees without an account check in through a Telegram Mini App. To connect, it is enough to enter the company code once — no separate account on the portal is needed.

What HR and administrators get

All configuration and reporting live inside Bitrix24. HR and administrators:

• add offices and sites and mark them on the map;
• manage the employee list and which sites each person may check in at;
• assign access levels — who sees reports and for which departments;
• view attendance reports by employee, site and period.

In their own section the employee sees only their own day: when they checked in and which check-ins are still due.

Lite and Pro

“I’m at Work” will be published on the Bitrix24 Marketplace in two editions — Lite and Pro. Lite is meant for small teams. Pro removes the limit on the number of employees and lets you connect a Telegram bot under the company’s brand. Both editions work with the same data, so moving from Lite to Pro does not require migrating history.

Status

The app is in development. We will announce the Marketplace release in this section.
